RE: hotel christina
We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. You have to like a very modern design but if you do then you get a super place to stay.
The de Luxe rooms have reclinable Auping beds, flat screen tv, Nespresso machine and much more! All is new, clean and colorful. A good breakfast with a large selection of fresh tea flavours. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
I really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. Everything at the website is exactly what you get.
SUPER!

RE: hotel christina
Well, I was born and raised in Bucharest and, on my frequent visits there, used to stay at my old, would say cozy home, owned now by my niece. It just happened that I fell upon Mr. Bowoodforest's from Sydney review, after which my wife suggested to give this boutique hotel a try. The experience of staying there proved to surpass even our already high expectations. For a detailed description of the amenities you'll enjoy, please refer to Mr. Bowoodforest excellent review that I think would be vain to try to outdo for its thoroughness. What toiletry! I would only resume our impressions with these points: 1. The owner obviously aims and succeeds to give you the best a modern hotel can offer. 2. The staff is simply incredibly polite, nice and helpful. 3. You'll be hard pressed to find elsewhere a better value for your money. That may be partly caused by the fact that Bucharest is not yet, to my regret, a real touristy destination. That may change because the potential is there. 4. As a consequence of the above, we decided to stay here on our future visits to Bucharest, trading our free home accommodation for this excellent boutique hotel where we felt not a bit less welcomed. On condition, sure, that nothing, including prices, would change to become less appealing!
And finally, a true anecdote about our stay there: My wife left behind in our hotel room a nice pair of shoes. We were still on our flight home when there was already a polite email in my inbox asking about how to proceed in order for the shoes to reach us in Israel. Not bad, isn't it? Cheers to Cristina, Sergiu and all those wonderful people I regrettably omitted to ask for their names.

Hotel Christina is a great experience as soon as you walk in the reception lobby. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms have a great modern feel and are spotless. The best part may have been the in-room espresso machine! The hotel is within walking distance of many of the best parts of the city too.

+ Nice and clean hotel
+ Hotel is located near Piata Romana, 3 metro stations away from Gara de Nord
+ Some gimmicks include: temperature-sensitive LEDs in the shower head, a built-in lamp in the leg of the desk, curtains that open/close automatically when you move them, mattrasses that can be automatically adapted to your needs and maybe more things we did not notice
+ Free WiFi
+ Decent breakfast
+ Coffee machine in the room
+ 1 free bottle of water upon arrival
+ Friendly and very helpful English-speaking staff
+ Funny owner ("My bank and I are the owners of the hotel")

RE: hotel christina
I selected Hotel Christina after reading all the reviews on TripAdvisor. It turned out that this is indeed a great hotel for the money we paid and the experience we had. The hotel location is very quite. The room was small, but the space was very well utilized. The amenities in the bathroom were incredible, two sets of shampoo, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, two bath robes, etc. The room was well lit and the wi fi is everywhere inside the hotel free of charge. There was also a coffee maker. The staff was helpful and courteous. The restaurant in the hotel serves terrific food! We had one dinner there and the menu is quite extensive. We picked the set menu for 20 euros (?). The Hotel Christina salad was so yummy and the portion was very generous. The entree was a Romanian chicken stew with vegetables, delicious. The dessert was also wonderful. It was well worth the money, super value! Room service has no delivery charge!

RE: hotel christina
After a business trip I decided to extend my stay in Bucharest for a few more days to explore the city and the surrounding areas and chose Christina hotel based on the tripadvisor rating. Prior to moving to Christina hotel, I used another higher priced 4-star hotel in Bucharest, which was close to my office. Comparing these two together, I admit that while the first hotel was average, Christina went far beyond all my expectations and when I come back to Bucharest again I will choose it among all the other hotels without any doubt.
Upon our arrival we were greeted by a member of staff, who spoke fluent English and clearly and fully explained the services we are offered. Having carried our luggage, he then immediately helped us to rearrange the furniture in the room upon our request.
The room is nicely equipped with unusual gadgets and is well lit. Having Nespresso maker was a nice touch and we appreciated the full hygiene kit that also included such must haves as toothpaste and toothbrush. The shirt ironing service is also included in the price, which was helpful. In contrast at the comparable hotel we previosly stood at we had neither a kettle, nor a proper hygiene pack and we had to pay to have our shirts ironed. Furthermore, the room at Christina hotel was very clean, modern and did not feel tired or small. The wi-fi was a little bit slow but reliable, we had no issues with it.
Perhaps the only nuisance was dog barking in the morning. That said the hotel is located in a quiet location but within easy reach of the major attractions.
I strongly recommend Christina hotel to other travellers visting Bucharest.

Stayed here for 3 nights and hat a great time. The food is good and cheap. Clean rooms and nice lokation.
The best about the hotel is the staff. They are kean to answer any questions, and make you feel welcome.
Special thanks to the female receptionist, who gave me advices about sightseeing in the suburbs of Bucharest, which i requested. And to the owner of the hotel, with whom I shared a Palinka while he told me about Romania during the Soviet era.
The only thing I would like to change about the hotel, is the variety of bread at the breakfast buffet. A selection of wholegrain bread would be nice. Everything else about the hotel is Spitzenklasse!

Tucked away down a side street, but not far to walk to centre and transport hub. Beautifully presented hotel with spacious rooms and well-appointed, spotlessly clean bathrooms. All staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable - nothing was too much trouble. Range of foods on offer at buffet breakfast changed daily and wasn't left to stand for hours, always fresh. Would really recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
