Die Deutsche Kneipe
Intimate local, full of atmosphere. Until recently, it was with Planters and Terminus, one of the very few places in Bucharest where you could drink a beer unfiltered (Weizenbier) homelike (exclude Becker-Bräu, where what they call beer is unfiltered juice of whole embarrassment!). I recommend without reservation the soup cream cheese or garlic soup (both in bread), Gypsy Schnitzel, hunting Schnitzel or Hubertus, sausages on sauerkraut ... and other plates are likely done as well. A big plus is that you are served at the table by the two owners, husband and wife and thus exempt you from the grossness of the waiters from Dambovita. One snag: as a family business it opens daily only at 5.00 p.m. Therefore excluded for lunch.
